History of Lukromtel, s.r.o.
Lukromtel was founded in 1999. Original corporate purpose was to participate on a new rollout of the czech third mobile network - Vodafone.
Before the end of 1999 we started building-up of new sites and microwave links for broadband provider Aliatel (GTS Novera) .
In spring of 2000 begins our collaboration with Ericsson, then vendor of technology for Vodafone. Lukromtel company installed, commisioned and optimalized more than 560 Ericsson RBS GSM/DCS Base Stations in total.
Later in 2000 Lukromtel signed a major build-up and maintenance contract with Telefonica O2 (then Eurotel). This very successful cooperation lasts untill now, with hundreds of sites built over the years.
Since beginning of 2002 Lukromtel supplies services also for Vodafone CZ. The lasting contract includes Full Turnkey Site build-up and optimalization of Base Stations.
Later in 2002 Lukromtel cooperates with US company GCCS, implementing Ericsson RBS 200 technology into prefabricated containers and testing of the system before delivery to Ghana / Africa customer.
Also in 2002 Lukromtel cooperates with Saudi Exi Telecoms company on rollout and optimalization of mobile network Al Jawall in Saudi Arabia.
In 2005 Lukromtel participate on Hutchinson Ireland 3G network rollout in greater Dublin area.
In 2006 starts build-up of new sites for Telefonica O2 in Slovakia.
Since 2008 we have been collaborating with Huawei Technologies Czech in the Czech Republic on T-Mobile CZ GSM network modernization. During the swapout project Lukromtel swapped 12 clusters so far, totally 429 sites, replacing the Motorola and Siemens BSS technology with new Huawei equipment, including BSC.
LUKROMTEL became one of the major Technical Services Supplier for tecommunications operators in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
