Cooperation of Lukromtel, s.r.o. with Huawei Technologies Czech commenced in August 2008.
In the beginning of 2008 Huawei Technologies won the tender for T-mobile CZ GSM network modernization. This is probably one of the most important modernization projects of T-mobile CZ network, affecting every single base station in the Czech Republic. Old Motorola and Siemens technology is being gradually, cluster by cluster, replaced with Huawei equipment.
Lukromtel became one of four companies chosen by Huawei to perform the swapout activities in the field. For this purpose Lukromtel created specialized team, consisting of Project Manager who collaborates directly with Huawei management on managerial, organizational and logistic level , Project Coordinators, performing Site Surveys before swaps and carrying out administrative tasks, Technical Supervisors, being responsible for spotless and smooth implementation and Swap Teams, performing the physical swap actions in field.
In the fall of 2008 the first testing clusters were swapped and since then Lukromtel Huawei team swapped 12 clusters numbering 429 Base Stations, including 7 BSC, A-ter links and provides other supportive activities on smaller sub-projects.
The successsful cooperation of Lukromtel s.r.o. with Huawei Technologies Czech lasts till now.
